Blog Entry:

Well there were a few chores that just didn't get done, due to time constraints. Like pup paws, round two of backing up photos and videos and filling the propane. Have plenty of places to stop for propane before we get to the Dempster. Did have to stop down the road because I forgot to check the oil and transmission fluid and to pay a few bills using Lesa's phone as a hot spot. You can also see that the RAM and Alaskan are a lot cleaner.

Once that was done we were on our way. Saw at least 2 dozen Tundra Swans and our first moose.  All this time we were looking for moose out in the wild and here she was in the town of Delta Junction. Really didn't have any place to pull off and get any good pics so a quick stop in the road, Lesa grabs the camera and takes a quick few pics and we get going before we get ran over. Got through the border no problem, normal questions nothing to off line. Saying that it was the very first time someone has ever asked to see the pups rabies paperwork.  Usually they just ask if you have it.

One time crossing the Top of the World highway we asked an USA border agent if he wanted to see the pups rabies paperwork and he said no who in their right mind  would drive with a rabid dog.  Lesa and I still laugh about that one.

So we thought we were going to stay in a new campground tonight but as soon as we pulled in we recognized the place but not the name "Lake Creek". We took sight #3 again, we stopped here in 2022 with Selah and Granger.  The picture of Granger, Moxee and I is in the same place that Lesa took a picture of Selah, Granger and I. We also had grouse visit us at camp and I got some really good pics of it. Moxee was wanting grouse dinner and funny but Granger really didn't care. Could be he knew he was on a lead and it didn't matter since he wasn't going to get a chance to chase it. Weather today was just over cast and a bit rainy at the end, but it has stopped and we are sitting next to a nice warm fire at 37 degrees.  Oh yea we lost an hour coming back into the Yukon, hate that.
